FAQ
Questions closers ask.
Straight answers. Anything not here, ask us in your interview or email hello@gosunlite.app.
The roles
What does a closer do?
A closer runs the sales appointment with a homeowner: learns what they need, presents the right project, answers the hard questions and asks for the business. At GoSunlite that means big ticket home projects like solar, roofing and HVAC.
What's the difference between remote and in home?
Remote closers run appointments from home over video and phone. In home closers meet homeowners in person at their home. Some people do both. See Remote closer and In home closer.
What will I be selling?
High ticket home improvement: solar, roofing, HVAC and similar projects. Which offers you run depends on the role and your area, and we go over that in your interview.
What does a normal schedule look like?
It depends on the role and your area. We talk through the schedule and how many appointments to expect in your interview, before you commit to anything.
Experience
Do I need solar experience?
No. High ticket experience of any kind helps: roofing, HVAC, windows, insurance, cars, timeshare and the like. Tell us what you've sold and we'll talk about what you'd need to learn.
I'm newer to sales. Should I apply?
Yes, if you're serious about it. Choose "Not yet" for high ticket experience and tell us why you want to close. We read every application.
Do I need a license?
Some states require in home salespeople to register for home improvement or solar sales. We'll tell you what applies where you live before you start.
Pay
How does pay work?
We explain pay in your interview and put it in your written agreement before you start. You'll know exactly how and when you get paid before you run your first appointment.
Why don't you list income on this site?
Because what any closer earns depends on their own work, their appointments and their market, and we won't advertise a number we can't promise you. You get the real terms in writing instead.
Does it cost anything to apply or start?
Applying is free. GoSunlite never asks you to pay to apply.
Applying
What happens after I apply?
A real person reads your application. If it looks like a fit, we reach out by phone or email to set up a call about the role.
Do I need a resume?
No. A LinkedIn profile or resume link helps but it's optional.
Will you text me?
Only if you check the text message box on the application. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. See the SMS Terms.
Who can apply?
Anyone legally able to work in the US. GoSunlite considers every qualified applicant without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status or any other protected characteristic.
